This week, I made significant progress on my website, applying the design system and integrating research I conducted last semester. I also updated my thesis website, organizing the content into categories such as The Approach, The Plan, The Process, and The Finals. This update included refining the project description to focus on innovative strategies for small businesses to market to Gen Z. Additionally, I updated the site's typography, images, and colors to better reflect my project's brand system.
Lastly, I worked on the consultation video, which is an integral part of my thesis. This task required me to blend my creative and technical skills, ensuring that the video effectively communicates my research and findings.
Overall, this was productive, with a good balance of research, practical application, and creative work. My project is taking shape, and I'm excited to see how these elements come together to form a cohesive and impactful thesis.

I also curated the website prototype. Here is the link to that.

Suggestions from Jennifer:
Jennifer McNeil:
The voice recording cuts off on the home screen
What’s the purpose of the lined paper above who is dzn?
Cody Medaris:
That’s the pngs not coming through
Ill send you a pdf
Jennifer McNeil:
I really like the we build relationships page. The colors pop , the logo is clear, the hierarchy looks good. The only one maybe I might reconsider is the meet the team…. Not sure I love the small meet??? But that’s designer preference
Maybe if it’s as big as the dzn story ?
I like the colors and z-kit page but it has a lot of blank black space?
Is it suppose to?
Maybe put a pic there?
Cody Medaris:
No not completed all the way. I need to add something there.
I think it might be like a “cart” kind of thing that adds the kit items? Thoughts?
Jennifer McNeil:
I like the we build relationships with gen z page. It’s well balanced.
Does the orange on blue… visually check? ( for disability, can’t remember what it’s called)
Cody Medaris:
I don’t understand.
Oh I don’t know what that is… LOL 😬
Is there a disability check with orange and blue?
Jennifer McNeil:
Oh accessibility
Let me see if I can check it for you
It passed, so no worries
Cody Medaris:
Oh awesome. How did you check that?
Jennifer McNeil:
Maybe you could move the girl and her circle over to the right a hair
So it’s not so close to the menu at the top
Cody Medaris:
Agreed
--- She gave me a few more suggestions over the phone and taught me how to view the accesibility through the WAVE extension on Chrome.

I also completed the consultation video. I had to think deeper through what the consultation video would include. I wanted the viewer more fully understand the Z model which is an important part of DZN.
