This week has been tough. I still haven't received the final approval for my thesis materials. It has been a tough roadblock, but it has caused me to revisit my thesis statement and goal. One concern that keeps coming up is the purpose of my thesis. I thought I understood what I wanted my project to be. In all my attempts, I knew what I wanted to say, but I think my writing skills weren't explaining exactly what I wanted to say. I asked my husband for his ideas on how I might explore my topic further. We talked about how I ultimately want to help small businesses connect with gen z consumers. In further exploring this idea with him, we discussed the importance of a small business's perceived value and brand loyalty over its competitors and how specific design and marketing strategies can help achieve this. So I explored this idea and re-wrote a few things on my Materials Matrix.
