3.2 [Work in Progress] Thesis 2: Major Project / Thesis Materials

This week I worked on a few different things.

This week I put together the beginning stages of my process book. I created the pages and inserted the files. It was interesting to revisit all the old materials. This next week I will work on getting the pages looking better. They are just placed in the progressive order.

For the process journal, I did some type tests. I realized that I needed to try some different body copy and intro fonts. I originally have Avenir as the body but I wanted to try a serif font instead. I think it's more readable with the serif font. I tried a few but I think Arno Pro might be a good choice for body and keeping the Avenir for the intro text.

This week I also started creating and proposing some materials to Expo Event Productions. They Approved the designs but suggested one change. They wanted me to change their logo to a different style.

You'll notice the white logo in the bottom right corner. They suggested a change to the logo by adding the "o" back into the design.

I'll continue to refine the designs. We are looking at a launch date of the first campaign next Friday. Elena is helping come up with the copy and the images while I will create the designs. This week I will be going over what metrics would be best to collect in the process.

My meeting with Prof. Laurie got postponed. Hopefully, we will get to meet this week. I will be talking with her about the continued progress with the Case Study as well as the proposed event for some user research and additional research.
