This week I working on getting more of the brand guide together. I gathered and added my items from last semester. I am still working on the style of the guide. There are some elements and layout ideas on the website design as well as in some of my deliverables that I still need to incorporate into the guide. I am in the process of working on the one-page brand guide. I deleted the block of color as suggested by Prof. Laurie. I think it was a good idea. I still need to work on getting it laid out better. This week Prof Laurie and I were able to meet. It was good to talk with her and get back on schedule. We talked a lot about the one-sheet brand guide. I wasn't understanding the idea of how it needed to be laid out. She was patient with me and talked me through it a bit more.
I scheduled a user testing dinner party with a few Gen Z students. We are gathering on March 14th. I need to send out survey consent forms and official invitations. I am planning on having most of the website completed by then, other than the case study materials so the students can use test it. Prof Laurie suggested this semester have Gen Z look at my materials and user test it with a design view. Then next semester have marketing people look it over for usability. I thought that was a great idea.
This coming week has the potential to be very busy. A colleague at work asked if I would take her classes since she won't be able to. I felt I needed to step in for her. So that makes teaching 9 classes this week.
