6.1 [Work in Progress] Thesis 1: Major Project / Thesis Materials

Continuing the design this week, I worked on the brand guidelines one sheet. I decided on the color palette that I think works best for this project. Generation Z, born between the mid-1990s to the mid-2010s, is a diverse group with a wide range of preferences. However, some general guidelines for colors and designs that resonate well with this generation, bold and bright colors like neon green, pink, orange, and blue can appeal to Generation Z's love for individuality and self-expression. Black and white can also work well as a classic and timeless color combination. Minimalistic designs that emphasize simplicity and functionality can appeal to Generation Z's preference for clean and straightforward aesthetics.

Geometric shapes and patterns can also work well, as they give a modern and edgy feel. Personalization and customization options can be popular, as they allow Generation Z to express their unique personalities and preferences.

Putting it all together for round one looked like this. One element that I thought was a good suggestion was the layered patterns of texture over the Z. I think this will help with designing separate and individual deliverables as needed.
For the first round of photography options, I thought that dual tones would work well to allow all images to feel cohesive and match the brand guide's overall aesthetic.
